Redefining Medical Media in Kenya – Welcome to mTV News
“The idea behind Mastermind Medics TV (mTV) came from a challenge many of us experienced as students. Important updates affecting medical students and healthcare trainees were often missed. Also, the mainstream media rarely focuses on issues relevant to our medical community in a relatable way. During the 2025 lecturers’ strikes, for instance, students needed a platform that could provide timely, verified and student-centered updates. mTV was created to fill that gap, not only for news and updates, but also for inspiration, engagement and entertainment.”
Emmanuel Wandera,
Director.
We focus on news and stories relevant to medical and health sciences students from student affairs, opportunities, research and academic engagement to mentorship, health conversations and celebrating outstanding achievements within the medical community.
Beyond news, we want mTV to become a home for connection and growth. A place where students can engage, learn from each other, share experiences and stay inspired throughout their journey in healthcare.
As a student-led platform, we also want to create opportunities for students passionate about communication, writing, media, videography, photography, design, and storytelling to be part of this initiative while building their skills and impact.
In a short time, we have already seen a fast-growing audience, stronger student engagement and real impact through amplifying student voices, sharing opportunities and keeping medics updated and connected.
This is only the beginning.
To every medical student, healthcare trainee, supporter, and future team member, we invite you to grow with us. Follow our pages, engage with our content and be part of a movement that is changing how medical stories are told in Kenya.
