JKUAT Medical Students Association Partners with Mastermind Medics TV
The Jomo Kenyatta University Medical Students Association (JKUSMA) has entered into a one-year media partnership with Mastermind Medics TV (mTV), in a deal set to boost news coverage, visibility, and opportunities for the university’s medical student community.
The agreement was signed on 27 May 2026 by JKUSMA Chairperson Jelagat Marion on behalf of the association. Under its terms, mTV becomes an official media partner to JKUSMA, providing coverage of major student events, leadership features, and campus news, while promoting student initiatives across its WhatsApp, YouTube, and Instagram platforms.
“JKUSMA is pleased to announce a partnership with mTV focused on creating opportunities, amplifying impact, fostering engagement among students, and increasing outreach,” said JKUSMA Chairperson Jelagat Marion. “We are excited about the opportunities this collaboration presents.”
The partnership also commits both sides to disseminating student opportunities, including scholarships, electives, conferences, and internships, and to collaborating on student campaigns and awareness initiatives. For JKUSMA, the deal promises greater visibility for its leaders and programs, stronger communication with members, and new links to medical students at other institutions.
The Memorandum of Understanding sets clear targets for the year ahead. These include coverage of between three and five major events, the production of student leadership or campus features each semester, and collaboration on at least two student campaigns. Both partners will hold an annual review to assess progress and identify areas for growth.
mTV said the partnership reflects its wider mission to strengthen communication among medical students and to give student voices a professional platform. The agreement runs for one year from the date of signing and may be renewed by mutual consent.
The deal adds to mTV’s growing network of campus collaborations, as the platform continues to position itself as a leading voice in Kenyan medical student media.
