Beyond Borders: Highlights From The 2026 NUNSA Research Fair
They say curiosity killed the cat, but on the 15th of May,2026 the Research Fair, themed- Nurses in Research, gave breath to groundbreaking ideas in nursing and strengthened global partnerships in healthcare.
- The fair, organized by Nairobi University Nursing Students Association (NUNSA) Research Club in collaboration with Inua Nurses Footprint (INF), brought together over 100 attendees including:
- Nursing students
- Student researchers
- Faculty members
- International Students from Berry College,USA
- Key highlights involved:
- Presentation of various student-led research projects
- Breakout discussion sessions to enable idea sharing
- KNH orientation visit to expose international students to Kenyan clinic experience.
- Cultural exchange moments to encourage diversity

The students were encouraged to actively participate in research since it’s the face of evidence based practice and to champion learning and innovation.
Research is not only about academics; it is about finding solutions that transform lives and strengthen healthcare systems.
Special appreciations were given to students,the faculty, partners, NUNSA, INF and media teams for championing mentorship and student empowerment in nursing.
At the same time they were reminded to look out for more collaboration that impact on research and promote communities.
